Job summary

The Full Frame Initiative in Greenfield, MA seeks a Director of Development to lead fundraising strategy, donor relations, and growth campaigns that align with our mission to advance wellbeing and equity across communities.

You will partner with the CEO and board, manage annual development plans, oversee grant writing and reporting, expand major donor support, and build systems for prospect research, cultivation, and stewardship to secure sustained philanthropic funding.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated passion for social justice and social change to upend inequities, and for FFI’s mission
• At least 10 years of experience in development and prospect research in an organization raising $3-$10 million annually; consideration given to capable candidates with strong relational skills
• Demonstrated success cultivating major gifts and successful proposals; experience with prospect identification and research required
• Great communication skills—persuasive writing and verbal presentation; ability to reach key audiences, especially high-net-worth individuals
• Ability to recall, recognize, and communicate interrelated donor information with leadership and board
• Discrete, ethical handling of confidential donor information
• Strong project management and tech skills; CRM development infrastructure experience (Salesforce preferred)
• Experience with processes to manage multiple projects, schedules and calendars
• Attention to detail with ability to see the big picture
• Highly organized with ability to convey information effectively to others

Responsibilities

• Annual strategy and planning: Create and implement the annual development plan
• Expand FFI’s major donor support: prospect research, cultivation, stewardship, and escalation of engagement
• Support CEO and Board in cultivation: develop engagement strategies and monitor donor interests
• Engagement planning: design and oversee donor engagement activities and events
• Develop and maintain efficient systems using FFI’s database and other tools
• Oversee annual appeal and other campaigns
• Create compelling development collateral and align communications across teams
• Maintain grants calendar and ensure timely applications and reports
• Organizational leadership: contribute to strategic growth and equity goals
• Operational tasks to support growing organization
