Job summary

The National Center for Family Philanthropy in Washington, DC is seeking a Development Manager to join the Advancement team. You will help raise funds, manage grants, and collaborate with family foundations in our Friends of the Family program under the Senior Vice President, Advancement.

Ideal candidates have nonprofit development experience, are highly organized, and proficient with CRM software (Salesforce and HubSpot).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A minimum of three years of development or fundraising experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills with ability to be proficient in CRM software (Salesforce and HubSpot).
• Exceptional writing, research, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and exercise judgment in organizing work, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
• Strong team orientation and commitment to customer service and donor experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement fundraising strategies to raise funds for NCFP.
• Manage grants process including grant writing, reporting, and compliance.
• Engage with family foundations and partners in the Friends of the Family program.
• Collaborate with the Senior Vice President, Advancement on fundraising initiatives.
• Proficient use of CRM systems to track donors and activity; ensure exceptional donor experiences.
