Job summary

The National Constitution Center is seeking a Development Assistant/Associate to support donor cultivation, stewardship, and fundraising operations. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Individual Giving, you will engage with donors, prepare briefings, and help manage donor relationships in a fast-paced nonprofit setting.

This early-career role offers growth opportunities across activities including prospect research, mail and email appeals, events, and donor communications, with a strong emphasis

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least one year of nonprofit fundraising experience.
• Strong writing, communication, and donor service skills.
• Excellent organization and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Comfort with databases; Salesforce or similar CRM a plus.
• Ability to work independently and across teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct donor research and maintain stewardship pipelines.
• Process gifts, respond to inquiries, and manage acknowledgments.
• Coordinate fundraising appeals and newsletters with teams and vendors.
• Support donor events, visits, and itineraries.
• Maintain Salesforce donor records and reporting.
• Help improve data quality and development operations.
