Job summary

Indiana University Foundation in Indianapolis is seeking an Associate Director of Development, Scholarships & Student Experience to advance scholarships, access, and student success. You will manage a portfolio of roughly 40–50 major gift prospects and leadership donors, partnering with Enrollment Management and Student Affairs to expand opportunities for IU Indianapolis students.

You’ll cultivate and solicit gifts while working across units to renew and grow scholarship support, align donor

Qualifications

• Demonstrated success in fundraising, major gifts, annual giving, or relationship management.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with internal and external constituents.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to analyze information, solve problems, and think strategically.
• Experience working across a complex, matrixed organization.
• Knowledge of fundraising principles, donor stewardship, and philanthropic best practices.
• Willingness to travel locally, regionally, and occasionally nationally, with flexibility to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of approximately 40–50 major gift prospects and leadership-level donors.
• Collaborate with Enrollment Management, Student Affairs, Undergraduate Education, Educational Success Programs, and the Groups Scholars Program.
• Cultivate, solicit, and steward significant donor relationships across scholarships, access, and student experience.
• Analyze donor data to identify opportunities and drive strategic fundraising initiatives.
• Partner across IU Indianapolis to align priorities and teamwork toward shared goals.
