Job summary

Indiana University’s School of Nursing seeks a Director of Development to lead major gift fundraising across Bloomington, Fort Wayne, and Indianapolis. You will manage a $1M portfolio, build donor relationships, and align campaigns with priority needs such as scholarships and endowed positions.

You will partner with an experienced advancement leader, supported by a coordinator, to advance donations and stewardship. Regular travel within Indiana is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in related field.
• 2 years of fundraising/development, sales, communications, public relations, or related field.
• Experience securing and advancing major gifts, particularly at $50,000+ level, is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Identify new prospects, cultivate relationships, and manage a donor portfolio.
• Execute campaigns to sustain and increase donations.
• Collaborate with university-wide colleagues to align donor interests with funding opportunities.
• Maintain regular contact with potential donors to solicit support.
• Introduce campus fundraising colleagues to appropriate gift prospects for cultivation.
• Document communications and analyze data to adjust strategy.
