Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Louisiana in New Orleans, LA is seeking a part-time Youth Development Professional to inspire and empower young people to reach their full potential.

You will create a safe, fun environment where kids learn essential life skills, plan engaging activities, mentor members, and collaborate with staff to deliver meaningful programs while ensuring their safety and well-being.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in education, social work, or a related field preferred.
• Experience working with youth in a community or educational setting.
• Familiarity with youth development programs and activities.
• Proven track record of engaging and motivating young people.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead engaging activities that promote learning, creativity, and teamwork.
• Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere where every child feels valued and supported.
• Build strong relationships with club members, acting as a mentor and role model.
• Encourage and guide youth in setting and achieving personal and academic goals.
• Collaborate with other staff members to create and implement exciting programs.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all club members during activities and events.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child’s progress and achievements.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
