Job summary

LET’S GO Boys & Girls (LET’S GO) seeks its first-ever Director of Development to join the leadership team and drive revenue growth through fundraising strategy, grant writing, and donor stewardship. The role reports to the Executive Director and leads development planning, grant processes, and relationship building with foundations, corporations, and individuals.

Based in the DC Metro area with a hybrid schedule, you will manage a $620,000 philanthropic portfolio across multiple program sites,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 6–8 years of nonprofit development experience.
• Proven fundraising generalist with hands-on grant writing, major gifts, annual giving, corporate partnerships, events, and online campaigns.
• Experience designing and managing development operations, CRM governance, budget monitoring, and gift processing.
• Strong self-motivation, strategic thinking, and ability to work independently with high integrity.

Responsibilities

• Lead development strategy and oversee annual development plan and stewardship efforts.
• Manage grant proposals, reporting, and relationships with foundations and corporations.
• Cultivate and solicit individual donors and major gifts in coordination with the Executive Director.
• Oversee donor stewardship activities and craft compelling fundraising messaging.
• Maintain regular progress reports and dashboards for the Board of Directors.
