Job summary

Kids FIRST seeks a strategic Development Director to lead fundraising, communications, and community engagement in Lane County, Oregon. Working with the Executive Director and board, you’ll craft long-term plans, build donor relationships, and translate impact into compelling messages.

You will create fundraising strategies, manage budgets and forecasts, grow annual giving, major gifts, grants, and partnerships; lead events from vision to execution; guide donor communications and public

Qualifications

At least two years of fundraising experience.
Proven ability to solicit gifts and build donor relationships.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.

Responsibilities

Create and lead fundraising strategies, budgets, revenue forecasts, and goals.
Grow annual giving, major gifts, grants, sponsorships, planned giving, and partnerships.
Cultivate, solicit, and steward donors through authentic, long-term relationships.
Lead fundraising events from initial vision through execution and evaluation.
Guide donor communications, marketing, storytelling, social media, and public relations.
Represent Kids FIRST at donor meetings, community events, networking opportunities, and speaking engagements.
Lead and support development staff, volunteers, interns, and consultants.
