Job summary

Catholic Charities of Oregon is seeking a Development Director in Portland to lead the Development team and fundraising strategy. You will grow revenue through major gifts, grants, events, bequests, and contributions, while managing donor relationships and the Development portfolio.

The role reports to the CEO, partners with the Executive Team, and oversees the budget and donor data systems to drive accountability and impact for the agency’s mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; 7+ years fundraising/leadership experience preferred.
• Minimum 10 years nonprofit fundraising and leadership experience preferred.
• Strong leadership skills with 3+ years supervising staff.
• History of securing six-figure gifts ($100k+) from high-net-worth donors.
• Experience managing a development program with substantial budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-year development strategy to grow resources and visibility.
• Design and execute a comprehensive development plan focused on major gifts, grants, events, bequests and contributions.
• Manage a portfolio of major donors and cultivate relationships to increase giving.
• Establish and oversee a major gifts program with donor stewardship and lifecycle management.
• Lead the Development department budget and report to CEO and Finance Director.
