Join to apply for the Development Director (Remote) role at Asian & Pacific Islander American Health Forum.

Headquartered in San Francisco, California, with an office in Washington, DC, the Asian and Pacific Islander American Health Forum (APIAHF) is the oldest and largest health advocacy organization working with Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) communities across the nation, in US Territories, and with US‐affiliated Pacific jurisdictions. It provides policy analysis, research, data support, and communication strategies to support local AANHPI communities in influencing policy. APIAHF offers grants, training, technical assistance, and consulting to empower communities and strengthen coalitions.

The Development Director is responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy to ensure the organization's financial sustainability and program success. This role involves working closely with the CEO, leadership team, and Board of Directors.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Create and execute a fundraising program covering major gifts, corporate and foundation giving, planned giving, and special events.
  2. Develop initiatives to grow the donor pipeline and increase engagement through identifying, cultivating, and managing prospective funders and partners.
  3. Manage a pipeline and portfolio of major donors.
  4. Oversee fundraising collateral development and collaborate with the communications team on materials and digital presence.
  5. Lead proposal writing, research, and reporting in partnership with program teams.
  6. Plan and execute donor engagement events, including the signature Health Equity Awards and the national conference.
  7. Advise the CEO on fundraising strategies and efforts.
  8. Support and build the capacity of the Board Development Committee and the Board itself in fundraising activities.
  9. Analyze fundraising data to evaluate performance and refine strategies.
  10. Serve as a senior organizational leader and supervise the development team, including hiring and resource management.
  11. Ensure compliance with funder guidelines in grant submissions and reports.

Ideal Candidate:

A seasoned development professional with at least 7+ years of experience in nonprofit fundraising or relevant fields, a Bachelor's Degree, and strong leadership skills. The candidate should have excellent communication skills, grant writing experience, familiarity with Salesforce or similar software, and the ability to build relationships and manage projects effectively. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of fundraising for an organization dedicated to health equity for AANHPI communities.

Location: Remote

Salary Range: $115,000 to $130,000
