Job summary

Meals from the Heartland seeks a Director of Development to lead its institutional fundraising program, responsible for strategy, execution, and growth of philanthropic revenue. You will partner with the Executive Director and supervise the Development staff, shaping major gifts, foundations, and corporate giving.

The role focuses on expanding donor engagement, managing grants, and aligning fundraising with MFTH’s mission to empower communities.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of nonprofit fundraising experience with proven success.
• Proficiency with Salesforce CRM and Raiser's Edge donor systems.
• CFRE, CAP, or similar designation preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication; high EQ required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and execute MFTH's institutional fundraising strategy.
• Identify new funding sources and nurture donor relationships.
• Oversee grants management and grant-tracking processes.
• Lead and coach Development staff and representatives.
• Collaborate with Operations and Hunger Fight teams to align fundraising efforts.
• Support leadership through EOS-based planning and execution.
• Supervise CRM/grant databases and coordinate with foundation work.
