Job summary

Shepherd's House Ministries in Bend, Oregon seeks a Director of Development to lead fundraising, donor relations, and strategic resource development. The role focuses on major gifts, grants, partnerships, campaigns, and stewardship, reporting to the CEO and working with the board.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
• Experience in fundraising, development, or nonprofit management is required.
• Ability to cultivate relationships with donors and partners.
• Leadership experience and team supervision are expected.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive development strategy aligned with SHM's mission and financial goals.
• Establish and achieve annual fundraising goals across donor categories and campaigns.
• Lead, supervise, and mentor the Development Team toward measurable results.
• Build and steward relationships with foundations, corporations, churches, and community partners.
• Lead campaigns, events, and communications to articulate mission impact and funding needs.
• Monitor performance metrics, donor trends, and revenue projections to inform strategy.

Education

Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business, communications, marketing, public relations, or related field
