Job summary

Shepherd’s House Ministries is seeking a mission-driven Director of Development to expand fundraising across sites and advance its life-changing work. You will lead strategy, donor relations, major gifts, grants, partnerships, events, and stewardship, reporting to the CEO and collaborating with the Board.

The role requires a strong track record in nonprofit fundraising and leadership within a faith-based context.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in fundraising, nonprofit management, or development.
• Experience creating major gifts, grants, partnerships, or campaigns.
• Proven ability to cultivate and steward donor relationships.
• Leadership experience with team management and measurable results.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development strategy and annual fundraising goals.
• Build relationships with foundations, corporations, churches, and donors.
• Oversee donor stewardship, campaigns, events, and communications.
• Supervise the Development Team and set clear expectations.
• Collaborate with CEO, Board and departments to align funding priorities.
