Job summary

The American Heart Association is seeking a Development Director on the Alabama Gulf Coast to drive revenue for fundraising campaigns, including the Mobile and Baldwin Heart Walk events. This hybrid position requires a strong in-person community presence and focuses on generating corporate sponsorships and individual donations.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of relevant experience, a university degree, and the ability to travel locally. The Association offers competitive compensation, benefits, and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant experience in fundraising, sales, or other related fields.
• Ability to do daily local travel up to 75% and some overnight trips as needed.
• Basic knowledge and skill/proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Generate revenue by prospecting and securing local corporate sponsorship and individual donations.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective corporate sponsors and donors.
• Develop and present proposals and materials to secure revenue and volunteer engagement.
• Recruit corporate team participation in Heart Walk and motivate team members to fundraise.
