Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Corps/County Development Director to lead fundraising efforts, build donor relationships, and drive missions through campaigns and events. You will design short and long-term development strategies for the assigned area and coordinate with the divisional team.

Strong leadership, grant writing, and donor stewardship are essential, along with managing campaigns and reporting progress to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in communications, nonprofit management, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in public relations and fundraising or similar role.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising plans for the Corps/County.
• Oversee donor, corporate and foundation relations in the local community.
• Manage mail appeals, capital campaigns, grants, events and donor communications.
• Track gifts, donor communications and fundraising reports in Salesforce.
• Plan and promote fundraising events and Christmas campaigns with leadership.
