Job summary

The Salvation Army in Muskegon is seeking a Corps/County Development Director to lead fundraising, media, and community relations efforts in the local area. You will design and implement short and long-term development strategies to increase charitable giving and coordinate with the divisional development team.

Responsibilities include managing donor relations, capital campaigns, grants, events, and volunteer programs; tracking gifts in Salesforce; and collaborating with corps officers to set

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in public relations and fundraising.
• Background in fundraising and marketing preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of supervision required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and manage a comprehensive fundraising plan for the locale.
• Oversee donor relations with individuals, corporations and foundations.
• Plan capital campaigns, grants, special events and media opportunities.
• Manage donor communications and fundraising reports; track gifts in Salesforce.
• Recruit, train and engage volunteers to support development initiatives.
