Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Central Territory is seeking a Corps/County Development Director to lead fundraising and community relations for the local area. You will design and execute short- and long-term development plans, manage donor relations, and coordinate with the divisional team to meet financial goals.

The role requires building strong relationships with donors, planning campaigns, and supervising the development team to advance the organization's mission in the community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in public relations and fundraising.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a comprehensive fundraising plan for the location with Corps leadership.
• Oversee donor relations with individuals, corporations and foundations in the local community.
• Develop and implement donor development, capital campaigns, grants, events, and media opportunities.
• Track communications, gifts and fundraising reports using donor management systems.
• Plan and promote Christmas fundraising activities and local campaigns.
• Collaborate with divisional development teams to meet annual fundraising goals.
