Call Your Mother is a DC-based, fast-growing deli brand seeking a Development Coordinator to help bring new shops to life. You’ll organize due diligence, track milestones, and coordinate with Real Estate, Design, Construction and Logistics to move projects from site evaluation to opening day.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in project coordination, construction administration, real estate development, or a related role, preferably supporting restaurant or retail construction.
• Understand the development and construction lifecycle from early planning through opening day and closeout.
• Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple projects, deadlines, and moving pieces.
• Follow through proactively, ask thoughtful questions, and speak up when something is missing or at risk.
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills and familiarity with project management tools and shared files.
• Comfort working with budgets, bids, and cost tracking; spot inconsistencies in invoices and POs.
• Ability to read basic plans and schedules and organize project documents (drawings, bids, contracts, permits, closeout).
• Clear communication and the ability to build strong relationships with internal teams, contractors, and vendors.

Responsabilités

• Support new shop development from site evaluation through closeout, coordinating due diligence, landlord deliverables, key dates, and handoffs.
• Manage project trackers, dashboards, and updates covering schedules, milestones, approvals, dependencies, and risks.
• Coordinate design schedules, deliverables, reviews and approvals with internal teams and external partners through handoff to Construction.
• Support bidding and pre-construction by collecting proposals, tracking submissions and preparing bid comparisons.
• Coordinate permit tracking and administer initial business licensing and related development applications.
• Assemble budgets and maintain cost trackers, including commitments, invoices, POs, pay apps, changes and forecasts.
• Maintain organized project files and consistent folder structures.
• Support active construction by tracking milestones, owner-provided items, risks, and opening readiness dependencies.
• Collaborate with Construction, Operations, IT and others to track progress and opening readiness.
• Coordinate turnover and closeout, including punch lists, as-builts, warranties, liens/waivers, and final records.
• Track tenant allowances and landlord reimbursements; maintain dashboards and recurring project updates.
• Improve tools, templates, and workflows; bring VIBES to every interaction through clear communication and follow-through.
• Support continuous improvement of templates, checklists, workflows, and lessons learned.
