Job summary

Forever Balboa Park is seeking a Development Coordinator to support the Institutional Advancement team. The role coordinates projects, supports donor relationships and the Membership program, and keeps fundraising initiatives moving forward.

Working with the Director of Institutional Advancement and the team, you will ensure efficient operations and an exceptional donor experience while building foundations in nonprofit philanthropy for Balboa Park’s public spaces.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of relevant nonprofit or project coordination experience.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with discretion and diplomacy in donor relations.
• Proficiency with Google Suite and adapting to new platforms.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate projects and initiatives across the Institutional Advancement team.
• Support donor relationships, Membership program, and fundraising campaigns.
• Plan logistics for donor events and manage invitations, RSVPs, and reporting.
• Prepare materials for leadership, Board committees, and donor communications.
• Collaborate with Database Specialist and Digital Engagement Manager for fundraising activities.
