Forever Balboa Park in San Diego seeks a Senior Manager of Volunteer Programs to lead daily operations, recruit and train volunteers, and coordinate interns.

You will manage Volunteer Coordinators, partner with departments, ensure compliance with background checks and trainings, and advance engagement through SEM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in comparable role.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Effective communicator, attention to detail, yet able to see the broader picture.
• Needs to work well both independently and with a team and display excellence.

Responsibilities

• Manage, grow the volunteer program of 450+ volunteers through outreach to individuals, groups, colleges, and corporations.
• Recruit, train, and schedule volunteers and interns across departments.
• Supervise Volunteer Coordinators and collaborate with Vice President of Planning.
• Coordinate with City of San Diego on background checks and required trainings.
• Develop and implement volunteer engagement programs consistent with SEM and Points of Light standards.
