Job Description

Reports To: Executive Director

Overview

The Development Coordinator is responsible for driving membership growth by recruiting and retaining individual and corporate members. This role requires a highly motivated, results-driven individual with strong sales and relationship-building skills. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a commission-based role and is passionate about expanding professional networks.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and execute strategies to acquire new members, including individuals and corporate partners.
  2. Identify and engage prospective members through outreach, networking, and partnerships.
  3. Maintain relationships with current members to ensure retention and engagement.
  4. Attend networking events, industry conferences, and community activities to promote membership opportunities.
  5. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop campaigns and promotional materials.
  6. Provide regular reports on membership growth, sales performance, and retention metrics.
  7. Ensure a seamless onboarding process for new members, addressing any inquiries or concerns.
  8. Stay informed about industry trends and competitor offerings to refine sales strategies.

Qualifications

  1. Proven experience in sales, business development, or membership recruitment.
  2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  3. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet targets.
  4. Experience in networking, relationship management, and client engagement.
  5. Ability to effectively present and sell membership benefits to diverse audiences.
  6. Proficiency in CRM tools and sales tracking software is a plus.

Commission Plan

The Member Development Representative will earn commissions based on successful membership sales. The structure is as follows:

Individual Memberships

  1. Monthly Standard Membership $10 per signup
  2. Annual Standard Membership $50 per signup

Corporate Memberships

  1. Platinum Membership $700 per signup
  2. Gold Membership $200 per signup

Bonus Incentives

  1. Quarterly Performance Bonus: Earn an additional $500 for every 10 corporate memberships secured within a quarter.
  2. Annual Achievement Bonus: Earn a $2,000 bonus if total membership sales exceed $50,000 in a calendar year.
  3. Referral Bonus: Earn an extra $250 for every 5 individual members who refer at least 2 additional members.
