A leading organization in Chicago seeks a full-time Development Coordinator to enhance its fundraising efforts. Hyde Park Art Center seeks a full-time Development Coordinator to support the administration and implementation of the Art Center’s comprehensive fundraising program. The Development Coordinator will support a diverse array of fundraising strategies across individual donors, institutional funders, and special events/projects. This position will provide a broad base of experience in nonprofit fundraising, as well as nonprofit management in a dynamic environment.
Compensation and Hours:
The Development Coordinator is a full-time permanent position with an annual salary of $50,500. Benefits include health, dental and life insurance, 401(k) matching after six consecutive months of employment, and a generous PTO policy. Weekly hours will mainly be within the range of 9AM - 5PM Monday through Friday, with some additional evenings or weekends required for special events.
Reports to:
The Development Coordinator will report to the Art Center’s Director of Development + Communications, work closely with the Development and Marketing team, and collaborate with the entire Art Center staff.
Location: This is a primarily in-person position, with 1-2 remote work days per week. In-person events are also a part of this position.
Responsibilities:
The role responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following. Priorities will shift throughout the year following the development department’s calendar of events and solicitations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to learn and grow with the organization in a fundraising role. Hyde Park Art Center is open to candidates with a variety of skills and experience, and many aspects of this position can be trained. The ideal candidate will exhibit many, but likely not all, of the following experiences and competencies:
Physical Requirements
This role is sedentary work at a computer with a phone in an office environment. The role also requires attending meetings and events onsite, which may have set up and breakdown of equipment and materials. Additionally, the role requires attending events offsite, which may require traveling to other sites. Lifting and carrying materials or equipment up to 30 pounds may occur.
