Job summary

The Society seeks a Development and Community Relations Manager to lead the development and community relations team, overseeing fund development, marketing and public relations. The role collaborates with executive leadership to build strategic fundraising plans, manage grants, events, and donor relations, while advancing advocacy and communication across platforms.

The position requires overseeing a team, building external partnerships, and ensuring effective communications to grow the donor

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, or related field.
• Five years of experience in marketing, fundraising and development.
• Two years of supervision and management experience preferred.
• Proficient with design and publishing programs, and social media.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Hires, trains, supervises and evaluates development & community relations team members.
• Leads Board Development Committee.
• Builds relationships with external stakeholders.
• Creates and executes a strategic funding and marketing plan with the Executive Director and Senior Management.
• Leads grant writing activities for all programs.
• Oversees all special events and manages event budgets and logistics.
• Oversees marketing and communications on all platforms to maximize public awareness.
• Demonstrates leadership and collaborates with boards and stakeholders.
