Job Details

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with business analysts and users to gather and interpret requirements for financial and healthcare systems, including data warehouses.
• Design and develop database applications using SQL Server Integration Services, TSQL, and Stored Procedures.
• Consult on logical design for new solutions based on existing data architecture.
• Perform code reviews, analyze execution plans, and optimize inefficient code.
• Follow data standards, resolve issues, and document ETL processes.
• Collaborate to determine data extraction and transformation needs.
• Build scalable data pipelines with Azure Data Factory for structured and unstructured data.
• Implement security measures using Azure Key Vaults.
• Use Azure Databricks for analytics, ETL jobs, and machine learning workflows.
• Utilize Spark to optimize big data processing.
• Ensure data quality with validation and error handling.
• Integrate data engineering processes into CI/CD pipelines with DevOps teams.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines.
• Document technical specifications and best practices.
• Utilize Azure Databricks, Azure Data Warehouse, Python, and scripting languages.

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field. Minimum 2 years of experience in data or software engineering, including building data pipelines with Azure Data Factory, writing complex SQL queries, troubleshooting production issues, supporting ETL automation with SSIS, developing Spark applications, and using Azure Functions, Databricks, Python, and scripts. Fully remote work permitted.
