Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of Georgia P.O.S.T. Basic Mandate Law Enforcement Training.
• GAPOST PBLE number must be provided with the application.

Responsibilities

• Maintain security and order in a detention facility educational setting.
• Provide security clearance for students entering secure areas.
• Conduct regular classroom, hallways, and office walkthroughs.
• Address disruptive or poorly dressed students and those who are late or absent.
• Facilitate safety drills as required.
• Inspect areas for contraband or safety breaches after movements.
• Monitor security equipment and cameras and report issues.
• Meet with supervisors and staff to increase student involvement.
• Assist in planning weekly student success meetings and monthly parent meetings.
• Perform physical tasks as needed (standing, bending, etc.).
• Lead group discussions on law enforcement topics with students.
