Position: Detention Officer Supervisor
To ensure the safety and security of youth detained at Marion County Youth Services Center. Responsibilities include supervising staff, enforcing discipline, and ensuring a humane environment that guarantees physical, emotional, and psychological safety for youths. In the absence of senior management, the Detention Officer Supervisor assumes full operational responsibility.
High School Diploma required; college degree or relevant experience preferred. Supervisory experience and at least two years in a correctional or youth service setting are essential. Knowledge of youth development, child welfare, and juvenile justice systems is required. Excellent communication and computer skills are necessary. Must be able to work any shift and reside in Marion County within six months of hire.
