Job summary

Cognito LLC, a Planned Systems International (PSI) joint venture, seeks a Behavioral Health Technician to support IHSC at the El Paso Processing Center, El Paso, TX. The role provides essential behavioral health care under clinical supervision and coordinates patient education, safety checks, and follow-ups.

Qualified candidates will have an associate degree in behavioral health, AAPT certification within 12 months, and 2+ years of relevant experience. BLS/CPR certification required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in behavioral health or related field.
• AAPT level 3 certification within 12 months of hire.
• Current BLS or CPR/BLS certification.
• Two years of mental health clinic or residential experience.
• Pass background check and drug screen; immunizations up to date.

Responsibilities

• Provide mental health screenings and patient education under BHP supervision.
• Schedule appointments and document in electronic health records.
• Observe behavior, perform wellness checks and safety monitoring.
• Lead basic psycho-educational groups and coordinate follow-ups.
