GEO Corrections & Detentions is seeking a Transportation Manager to lead the facility's transportation operations, ensuring timely coordination, adequate staffing, and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. This leadership role oversees scheduling, training, budgeting, and coordination with external agencies.

Responsibilities include supervising transportation staff, maintaining safety standards, and managing vendor contracts for vehicle maintenance.

Qualifications

• Experience leading, directing, or supervising staff.
• Must obtain a valid 'Class B' CDL with a Passenger endorsement within six months of appointment.
• CPR, First Aid, Defensive Tactics and Firearms certifications required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of DOT regulations and corrections-related laws.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for diverse personalities.

Responsibilities

• Manages transportation staffing per contract guidelines and approves candidate recommendations.
• Develops training and mentoring opportunities for staff.
• Supervises Transportation Supervisors and approves Officer scheduling and performance actions.
• Oversees transportation budget and coordinates vehicle contractors for maintenance and safety.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and organization laws; conducts investigations when needed.
• Attends external meetings with organizational, federal, or state representatives.
• Maintains regulatory knowledge and builds networks with transportation authorities.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
