Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required and applicable state requisites for employment.
• Must possess a State Firearms License and a State Security Guard License.
• Certificate in Corrections, Law Enforcement, or Military is required.
• One year transportation experience is required.

Responsibilities

• The Assistant Transportation Supervisor assists in supervising the facility's transportation operations and personnel.
• Train Transportation Officers on policies and procedures related to transporting detainees.
• Schedule Transportation Officers' work assignments.
• Monitor transportation operations to ensure care and custody of detainees per contract requirements.
• Maintain DOT files and ensure compliance with hours of service and vehicle inspections.
• Respond to accidents and prepare reports; assist in transporting detainees in emergencies as needed.
