Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent certification.
• Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
• Valid CDL Class B/C with Passenger endorsement within 90 days.
• Eighty (80) hours of verified driver training.
• State Firearms License.
• State Security Guard License.
• Approved training in Corrections, Law Enforcement, or Military.
• Certification in Corrections, Law Enforcement, or Military.
• Clean driving record with no major violations in 3 years.
• Passing a DOT drug and alcohol test.
• Ability to work overtime frequently.
• Frequent travel with overnight stays.
• Ability to handle mental stress and work with detainees.

Responsibilities

• Pre-trip, during-trip, and post-trip inspections; submit DVIR and report safety defects.
• Verify permits and licenses before trips; inform manager of problems.
• Ensure safety equipment is present; report issues to management.
• Complete paperwork accurately and submit per policies.
• Secure detainees before leaving and during transport; accurate paperwork.
• Follow safety regulations and applicable laws at all times.
• Contact safety authorities promptly in case of an accident; provide detailed reports.
• Deliver vehicles for servicing and pick up when ready.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education
