The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking a transport professional to securely move detainees between destinations, ensuring vehicles are safe and well-maintained.

You will perform pre-trip, in-trip, and post-trip inspections, maintain detailed DVIRs, and ensure all safety equipment and paperwork are in order. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CDL Class B or C with Passenger endorsement needed.
• 80 hours of driver’s training from an approved trainer.
• Certification in Corrections, Law Enforcement, or Military.
• Valid license with clean driving record and DOT drug/alcohol test clearance.
• Ability to work overtime and travel with overnight stays.
• Must handle stress and interact professionally with detainees and staff.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip, during-trip, and post-trip inspections of all vehicles.
• Provide DVIR reports and report safety defects to supervisor.
• Verify permits and licenses before trips, and notify if issues arise.
• Ensure safety equipment is present and functional for trips.
• Complete paperwork accurately and submit to facility per policy.
• Safely secure detainees during transport and manage onboarding at facilities.
• Follow all safety laws and DOT regulations; coordinate with management.
• Contact safety authorities and facility management after incidents as needed.
• Arrange vehicle servicing and pickups; perform other duties as assigned.
