Job summary

Miamiarch is seeking a part-time Accounting Clerk for its Finance Office in Miami Shores, Florida. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented and responsible for supporting the finance department, performing clerical tasks related to Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma, accounting experience, excellent customer service skills, and proficiency in MS Outlook and Excel. Knowledge of Spanish is a strong preference. The schedule is Monday to Friday, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with some accounting experience in a customer service environment; AA or other degree in accounting preferred.
• Demonstrated history of maintaining strict confidentiality concerning financial and contributors’ files.
• Accounting or related field experience is preferred.
• Some knowledge of accounts payable.
• Some knowledge of accounts receivable and general ledger.
• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good time management, including the ability to manage several projects at the same time.
• Ability to multi-task and retain accuracy in an environment of competing deadlines.
• Accuracy and excellent attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Advanced Excel.
• Good oral and written English-language communication skills.
• Good Spanish-language spoken communication skills strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide support within the finance department.
• Perform clerical tasks and assist accounting personnel as needed.
