Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Cleaner for the 2nd shift on a full-time basis in the Syracuse area. You will work under the Custodial Manager or Supervisor and perform a variety of cleaning duties to maintain building cleanliness according to established standards.

Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, operating floor buffers and shampoo machines, vacuuming carpets, cleaning fixtures and restrooms, restocking supplies, collecting trash, reporting repairs, and occasionally removing snow.

Qualifications

• Basic cleaning responsibilities requires no previous experience.
• Ability to use cleaning tools and equipment.
• Must be able to take direction, to work with minimal supervision, and to function cooperatively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and wash floors and other surfaces inside buildings.
• Operate floor buffers and shampoo machines.
• Vacuum rugs and perform daily spot cleaning.
• Clean windowsills, doors, walls, and fixtures.
• Restock bathroom supplies and maintain restrooms.
• Report defects to supervisors, collect and dispose of trash.
• Replace liners in waste baskets and handle snow removal when required.
• Perform periodic high-dusting and surface polishing.
• Carry out any additional duties as assigned.
