BURLINGTON OVERHEAD DOOR is seeking a meticulous Bookkeeper to join our small accounting team in New Jersey. You will maintain financial records, ensure legal compliance, and support the accounting department.

Responsibilities include data entry, trial balance prep, and tax forms completion, with cross-functional tasks as needed in a small office. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and proficient with Excel and QuickBooks Enterprise, able to adapt to a flexible, collaborative

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• Experience as accountant, bookkeeper, or similar position.
• Knowledge of GAAP.
• Proficient with Excel, QuickBooks Enterprise, and basic accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Enter financial data and transactions.
• Provide backup to other team members during high volume times.
• Maintain accurate records: data entry, vendor/client info.
• Process incoming and outgoing mail from our post office box.
• Verify the accuracy of transactions entered.
• Prepare trial balance.
• Analyze budgets and other financial information.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Follow up with delinquent accounts receivable.
• Verify hours and enter into payroll vendor portal.
• Verify accuracy of sales tax collection and remit to state.
• Complete required tax forms.
• Assist owner with coordinating renewals and compliance tasks.
