Job summary

Clark Construction Group is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable (AP) Analyst to join our finance team in McLean, VA. You will manage daily invoice processing, vendor inquiries, and disbursement activities to ensure timely payments.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of AP or bookkeeping experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with Coupa or similar systems. A degree is preferred; we value accuracy, organization, and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in an accounts payable or bookkeeping role.
• Degree preferred.
• Proficiency with accounting software and document management/imaging systems; Coupa or similar systems a strong plus.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and ability to learn multiple systems.
• High attention to detail when handling financial numbers, job coding, and vendor information.
• Excellent organization and time management to handle priorities.
• Proven customer service skills and problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Process a high volume of invoices and credit memos into the accounting system via various channels, including automated workflows.
• Validate and resolve discrepancies involving POs, vendor statements, and cost centers.
• Administer the central AP email inbox; resolve vendor inquiries regarding invoices, payment terms, and status.
• Manage daily check disbursements and address issues with outstanding or returned checks.
• Handle invoices in draft or on-hold status and support timely vendor payments.
