Job summary

Open Plan Systems, a Virginia-based furniture manufacturer and distributor, is seeking a Receiving Clerk in Richmond to receive, inspect, and record shipments. You will unload, verify contents, label stock items, and ensure inventory accuracy in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

The role requires forklift experience, basic math, and strong organizational and communication skills. A High School Diploma or GED is required, with 2–5 years of related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as receiving clerk or similar position.
• 2-5 years of experience recommended.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Read and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect and record shipments.
• Unload packages and verify contents match orders.
• Pack, label and stock inventory items.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and records.
• Operate hand tools as needed in packing and labeling.
• Collaborate with procurement to list expected deliveries.
• Sign paperwork upon receipt and process invoices.
