Job summary

KSB is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Clerk in Richmond, VA. You will handle inbound and outbound shipments, verify accuracy, prepare materials for transport, and maintain organized inventory. The role requires forklift certification or willingness to obtain it, plus a minimum of one year in a warehouse setting.

Working hours are typically 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Monday–Friday, with possible overtime to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; minimum 1 year in a warehouse environment.
• Must be certified (or obtain certification) for forklift operation.
• Fluent English; able to speak, read, and write clearly and interface with customers and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, inspect, and store shipments; ensure accuracy of contents.
• Assist in material delivery, staging, and pickup for shop jobs.
• Record shipment data such as weight, charges, space, and damages.
• Assist with packing for outbound orders and document routing of materials.
• Determine shipping methods, routes, and carrier rates; coordinate with carriers.
• Maintain inventory by storing shipping materials and restocking as needed.
• Follow ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 18001 guidelines.
• Handle pallets; assist with physical inventory and occasional travel to other locations.
