Job summary

Jobot is seeking a full-time Bookkeeper to join the accounting team in Albuquerque, NM. You’ll ensure accurate daily financial transactions across multiple business units and support the Controller to maintain clean books and timely monthly closes.

Duties include recording consumer revenue in QuickBooks, entering cash receipts with proper GL coding, processing vendor invoices, and matching invoices to payments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or 4+ years of bookkeeping experience.
• Experience with high-volume transactional accounting.
• Strong understanding of AP, AR, cash receipts, and general ledger activity.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel.
• Prior experience handling W-9s and 1099s preferred.

Responsibilities

• Record and manage all consumer revenue transactions (checks and credit cards) in QuickBooks.
• Accurately enter cash receipts with proper general ledger coding.
• Process vendor invoices and prepare weekly check runs.
• Match supplier invoices to payments and maintain organized documentation.
• Manage high-volume payments and disbursements tied to scheduled events.
• Process award and payment checks with proper coding and balancing.
• Collect, track, and maintain W-9s and support annual 1099 reporting.
• Support month-end close and financial reporting activities.
• Proactively review transactions to ensure accuracy before posting.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of financial data.
• Assist with additional accounting and reporting tasks as needed.
• Some travel throughout the year is required.
