Job summary

Jobot is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our accounting team in Albuquerque, NM. This on-site, full-time role focuses on accurate daily financial transactions, end-to-end bookkeeping, and close support with the Controller.

You will manage high-volume entries in QuickBooks, maintain clean records, and assist with month-end reporting. The position offers competitive salary and benefits in a deadline-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance OR 4+ years bookkeeping experience.
• Experience with high-volume transactional accounting.
• Strong understanding of AP, AR, cash receipts, and GL activity.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel.
• Experience handling W-9s and 1099s preferred.

Responsibilities

• Record and manage all consumer revenue transactions (checks and credit cards) in QuickBooks
• Accurately enter cash receipts with proper general ledger coding
• Process vendor invoices and prepare weekly check runs
• Match supplier invoices to payments and maintain organized documentation
• Manage high-volume payments and disbursements tied to scheduled events
• Process award and payment checks with proper coding and balancing
• Collect, track, and maintain W-9s and support annual 1099 reporting
• Support month-end close and financial reporting activities
• Proactively review transactions to ensure accuracy before posting
• Maintain strict confidentiality of financial data
• Assist with additional accounting and reporting tasks as needed
• Some travel throughout the year is required.
