Job summary

Quaker Houghton is seeking an Accounts Payable Accountant to perform complex AP accounting duties and support the GL with journal entries and documentation.

You will assist with reconciliations, month-end close, and variance analyses, while ensuring balance sheet accuracy. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and participation in SOX controls will be key, along with ad hoc analyses and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• 1–3 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in manufacturing or chemicals industry is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex AP accounting duties and assist with maintaining the general ledger with journal entries and supporting documentation.
• Run routine account reconciliations and research reconciling items.
• Support month- and quarter-end close activities with schedules and variance analyses.
• Assist in ensuring balance sheet accounts are accurately stated and aligned with the GL.
• Support SOX compliance tasks and collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information for reports.
• Contribute to ad hoc analyses and continuous improvement of accounting processes.
