Job summary

Quaker Houghton is seeking an experienced accounting professional to perform complex accounts payable duties and support the general ledger. You will prepare journal entries, assist with reconciliations, and participate in monthly and quarterly close activities, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to SOX control tasks, and help automate processes to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Familiarity with US GAAP is a plus.
• Experience with month-end close processes and journal entries.
• SOX-404 experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintaining the general ledger and prepare journal entries.
• Perform routine account reconciliations and research reconciling items.
• Support monthly and quarterly close activities with schedules and analyses.
• Ensure balance sheet accounts are accurately stated and aligned with the ledger.
• Review financial results and identify unusual trends or variances.
• Support SOX compliance tasks and cross-functional reporting needs.
• Collaborate with Fluidcare, GFBS, and Consolidations teams to gather information.
• Contribute to process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
