Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a Weld Destruct specialist for the 1st shift at the Cusseta, AL plant. You will perform destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, inspect welds, and document results while supporting quality objectives and safety policies.

The role requires basic math, English reading/writing skills, and the ability to stand 8-10 hours with safety footwear. Prior welding-related experience is preferred; ESOP participation is offered with the position.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year related experience and/or training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Describe non-conformances and log all non-conformities.
• Operate cutters, grinders, and press equipment to break welds.
• Inspect materials, parts for conformance to specifications.
• Use calipers and micrometers to measure welds and parts.
• Complete paperwork to inform Weld Technicians of part failure.
