Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing in Cusseta, AL, is seeking a quality technician to perform destructive and nondestructive tests on materials and parts. The role supports the Quality Management System and works to ensure customer satisfaction by following the Quality Policy.

You will use hand and power tools, take caliper/micrometer measurements, and document results. The position requires a high school diploma, 1 year of related experience, and the ability to stand 8–10 hours daily on a 1st shift (M–Th)

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED; 1 year related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English to safely perform job duties and follow instructions.
• Able to stand 8–10 hours and operate hand/power tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Use hand tools and power tools to perform destructive and nondestructive tests on materials and parts.
• Inspect materials and products for conformance to specifications; discuss nonconformances with Supervisor.
• Record data, write reports, and input information into graphs and charts for engineering review.
• Participate in preventative actions and corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain organized work area and comply with safety, environmental, and quality policies.
