Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing in Cusseta, AL is seeking a 1st shift weld/press operator to set up and operate resistance spot welders and power presses for metal parts. You will inspect parts for conformance to specifications and document quality issues, following the Quality Policy.

The role requires standing 8-10 hours daily, fluency in English, and a High School diploma or GED. Training on QMS and safety procedures is provided; overtime may be required to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Able to stand for 8-10 hours a day.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate resistance spot welders and/or power press.
• Inspect parts for conformance to specifications and discuss non-conformances with supervisor.
• Perform housekeeping and keep workstation clean and organized.
• Pack parts and track workflow; document processes as required.
• Support continual improvement activities and participate in training.
