Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing’s Cusseta, AL plant is seeking a Quality Inspector on 3rd shift (SU-TH) to support the Quality Policy and QMS. You will use hand and power tools to test welds, materials, and processes, documenting deviations and helping drive continuous improvement.

Strong reading, writing and math skills, plus safety footwear, are required. The role emphasizes teamwork, documentation, and adherence to quality standards in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English to perform duties safely.
• One year related experience or training preferred.
• Stand 8–10 hours; safety shoes required.
• Basic math skills and measurement knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Explain how the position impacts customer satisfaction and quality policy.
• Understand Quality Management System and relevant procedures.
• Identify non-conformances and log corrective actions.
• Participate in preventative actions and audits.
• Operate cutters, grinders, and related equipment to test materials.
• Maintain housekeeping and follow safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
