Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing in Cusseta, AL is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our first-shift team. You will use calipers, micrometers, and assorted hand tools to verify welds and material specs, and you’ll document findings for the engineering team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements.
• Ability to read and understand work instructions and safety procedures.
• Familiarity with measurement tools and quality documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform destructive and non-destructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance and characteristics.
• Verify conformance to specifications and document any non-conformances with supervisor.
• Operate cutters, grinders, and related equipment per standard procedures.
• Record data and enter results into reports and charts for engineering review.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and preventative actions.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and comply with safety policies.
• Assist in audits and training as needed.
