Job summary

The Building Company in Claremont is seeking a capable Logistics/Store Supervisor to ensure all goods dispatched are attended to efficiently and in line with company policies and procedures.

You will coordinate deliveries, manage stock, supervise staff, and ensure legal compliance. This permanent role requires a Grade 12 and at least 2 years in a similar role, with basic computer skills and knowledge of relevant systems.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (minimum educational requirement)
• 2 years’ experience in a similar role
• Technical qualification or Diploma preferred
• Basic computer skills required
• Knowledge of relevant systems

Responsibilities

• Effectively Co-ordinating customer deliveries
• Effectively maintain administrative functions
• Inspire, motivate, guide, develop and manage, and lead employees to meet store objectives while enforcing company policies
• Checking forklifts are ready to operate by checking oil, water and mechanical ports
• Monitor and manage staff attendance
• Ensuring customer driving into yard are attended to
• Ensure legal compliance with all legislation relating to operation of the business and take action on legal matters
• Reporting discrepancies to management immediately
• Maintaining staff roster for weekends and public holidays
• Maintain and manage stock effectively and accurately
• Physically checking stock and delivery vehicles leaving the yard
• Uphold and promote the company values and culture
