Job summary

Global-Technical-Talent-1 is seeking a Desktop Technician to install, configure, and administer Windows desktops at the Owings Mills/Baltimore innovations hub. This contract role supports high-volume walk-up traffic and requires strong problem-solving and customer-service skills.

You will set up new users, manage accounts (email, LDAP, VPN), troubleshoot desktop and mobile devices, and contribute to lifecycle management from research to deployment.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a technical field is required.
• 5-7 years of experience required.
• Knowledge of Windows OS and desktop troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in software and hardware lifecycle management including research, packaging, QA, and deployment prep.
• Set up new users, including desktop configuration, email, LDAP, VPN accounts.
• Support employees, local and remote, with desktop issues, account issues, and access to internal services.
• Troubleshoot software issues on desktops/laptops.
• Some off hours support may apply.

• Pay Rate: $30.00-$35.00 / Hour (USD)

Job Summary

The main function of a Desktop Technician is to be responsible for the installation, configuration, and administration of Windows desktops. These roles will support high volume walk-up traffic in the innovations hub at Owings Mills.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the software and hardware life cycle management processes including research, packaging, quality assurance, and deployment preparation
• Set up new users, including desktop configuration, email accounts, LDAP accounts, VPN accounts
• Support employees, both local and remote, with desktop issues, account issues, and access to various internal services
• Troubleshoot software issues on employees' desktops/laptops
• Some off hours support may apply

Required Skills

• Knowledge of Windows OS
• Experience with desktop installation and configuration
• Experience troubleshooting desktop issues as well as mobile devices

Education Requirements

• Associate's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or related field required
