Reading Cooperative Bank is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to join the Information Technology team in Reading, MA. This role provides timely technical support to employees by responding to support calls and service tickets, troubleshooting hardware, software, and system issues, and maintaining IT documentation.

The ideal candidate will be customer-focused with strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of two years of relevant experience in Information Technology.
• Experience with building and/or supporting workstations; certifications such as MCSA/MCSE/ITIL/CompTIA A+ are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and configure workstations to Bank standard from the operating system.
• Create accounts during onboarding for new employees across systems.
• Serve as main point of contact for the help desk via phone, email, in person, or remote access.
• Install and maintain LAN hardware and software; ensure systems are ready for use at start of day.
• Assist users with network access issues and software operations.
• Install, repair and upgrade computer equipment including workstations, printers, and phones.
• Coordinate with third‑party vendors for hardware repairs.
• Travel regularly between bank locations.
