Job summary

Service Metal is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to support end users and technology across our corporate headquarters in Maryland Heights and our St. Louis warehouse.

This full-time onsite role involves assisting with Windows 365, network basics, and IT processes while traveling between two locations. You’ll join a growing IT team, resolve help desk issues, and contribute to reliable technology solutions across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or STEM or equivalent experience.
• Experience with remote desktop management.
• Familiarity with Windows and Microsoft 365.
• Experience setting up basic LAN networks.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel between two sites.

Desktop Support Technician | Service Metal | Pay: $24.00–$32.00/hour

Full‑Time | Business Hours, 8am–5pm | Onsite

Join Service Metal's growing IT team and play a key role supporting technology across our corporate headquarters and warehouse operations. We're looking for a Desktop Support Technician who enjoys solving technical challenges, supporting end users, and helping drive reliable technology solutions across multiple locations. Recent graduates and early-career IT professionals are encouraged to apply.

You’ll work 2 days per week from our Maryland Heights corporate headquarters and 3 days per week from our St. Louis warehouse.

What You’ll Do

• Respond to all IT Help Desk communications to resolve issues
• Perform network troubleshooting issues
• Support Microsoft 365 administration and user account management
• Update internal users' software and applications
• Work together as a team with the IT Department to accomplish goals
• Develop training material for employees on new hardware and software

What You Bring

• B.S. in Computer Science, or STEM related education, or equivalent experience. Our team values real world experience
• Experience with managing devices remotely using Remote Desktop Sessions
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365
• Experience with setting up basic LAN networks
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
• Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members
• A team player looking to accomplish company goals with hard work and a positive attitude
• Willingness to travel between 2 different sites

Where You’ll Work

You’ll split your week between two Service Metal locations:

• Maryland Heights Corporate Headquarters (2 days/week)

• Louis Warehouse (3 days/week)
  • Dedicated office space within warehouse operations
